ACCOUNT MANAGER | Built Environ, Property, Sustainability Agency

This Edinburgh based agency is looking for an Account Manager or experienced Senior Account Executive who has an interest in working across resi property (new builds), energy/sustainability and real estate. A background in these sectors is useful but not essential, but strong b2b and b2c skills. With offices also in London and the South East, this is a dynamic and forward-thinking team that will really support you from day one and give you access to direct client contact and the opportunity to build your own media network and have junior support.

The Role
A client facing, energetic, creative Account Manager is required to join this busy team.  A background and interest in Corporate, Business services, Environment and Sustainability is the ideal combination.

• Being able to take a strategic view of promoting and protecting clients’ reputations in relation to all stakeholders
• Able to offer excellent media relations skills, fluent in a wide range of media tactics (proactive and reactive) and broad range of journalist relationships
• Issues management and crisis communications
• Client facing experience – you will be in charge of proactively driving media coverage across your accounts, as well as being responsible for regular media monitoring, reporting
• Able to offer client counsel and advise
• Full and active participation in driving new business, seeking opportunities, developing and drafting proposals
• Project manage client teams, managing junior team members and keeping senior team up to date
• Be aware of political economic climate that shapes the environment and property sector
• Running and monitoring social media campaigns
• Understand client strategy and account workloads inside-out

Candidate specifications

• Have a solid understanding of the market and industry (environment, real estate, property, proservices) Well-read and up-to-date on industry news
  
• Have achieved SAE level already and be looking to progress your PR career
• Some team management experience
• Be able to develop solid client relationships
• A knowledge of the relevant trade press
• Excellent writing skills drafting a wide range of copy from thought-leadership pieces, press releases and placed articles to website and newsletter copy
• An in-depth knowledge of social media
• Drafting proposals, negotiating fees and budgets, taking a view on client servicing levels
• Full and active participation in driving new business, seeking opportunities, developing and drafting proposals
• Confident, creative and fluent in communication and engagement tactics across all platforms/audience groups
• Demonstrate agility, decisiveness and flexibility in responding to change or shifting client requirements
