ACCOUNT DIRECTOR | FS, Fintech, B2B Agency

This role would appeal to either an SAM looking for a step up on or a junior AD with some background in FS or Fintech although experience across b2b/corp comms, business and proservices, media marketing, enterprise and tech sectors, (from start-ups and initiatives to global business conferences), high profile dot coms and financial services would be relevant.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify strategies to address client objectives
• Be the main point of contact for the client and actively build relationships across the wider client organisation
• Lead (as appropriate and when required) client meetings and events
• Responsible for design and delivery of thought-provoking integrated campaigns – often with multiple target audiences
• Able to deliver a clear plan to maximise impact across a range of channels and range of formats
• Input into the team’s media strategies as part of client programmes and nurture this among your junior team members
• Involved in responding to new business opportunities
• Managing the team (including senior colleagues)

Candidate specifications

• Demonstrate sound knowledge of your specialist market sectors, in particular in FS, Fintech, business services with a background in corporate and b2b communications
• Solid understanding of UK media and strong media relations experience
• Experience working in busy agency environments
• Strong writer and communicator and able to present confidently
• The ability to combine strategic thinking and client counsel with a hands-on approach to leading accounts and getting results
• Able to effectively lead big, complex and busy accounts and juggle priorities
• Experience winning new business
• A strong people manager, able to coach juniors and manage teams effectively
